Errant, Serendipitous Exsanguination
The sky brings to me a peace
That I cant bring to mind
And likewise takes me to a place
That I will never find
(Betwixt, entwined Ive found reason to breathe)
And melt I do in Loves smitten embrace
whence responsibility is found for my pain, erased
And steeled and shielded I lay from my nightmares
As a fortnight from the best night might soothe pains airs
I am caught unprepared in your embrace
Your love outshines my unworthy face
(And I have met true purity)
I am not ashamed to show it
To wear it with pride, for you chose me
Amidst an antique menagerie of beauty
You are unafraid by what you see
(And Ive found true devotion)
Ample respite caught me alone
And destroyed all you built
But I know at last what it means
(trust) to trust you neer to let me wilt
(I have found trust)
In moonlit solitude
(The oft-faithless abscond)
Oh, what have we done to ourselves
To ever lose sight of our bond,
I now know regret.
